The close relationship between two organisms is called symbiosis. This relationship between this bee and this flower is an example of symbiosis, mutualism. In mutualism, both species benefit. This bee receives nectar from the flower. The pollen attaches itself to the bee and when the bee flies to gather nectar from another flower, the pollen lands on the stigma, thus enabling the plants to reproduce. The bee gets its food, the nectar and the plant can reproduce.
